EXPLORE

Atlixco is both beautiful and very safe, the best way to discover this Pueblo Magico is on foot.
Start by exploring the Zócalo and surrounding streets, then treat yourself to a coffee and snack in the centre of the Zócalo or find yourself una chulada in the famous Mercado Benito Juárez (ask for the local speciality cecina). Once fueled up on food and maybe some chelas, venture up to the Capilla Del Cerro De San Miguel via La Escalara Ancha and take in the stunning views of Atlixco, the city of Puebla and Popocatépetl.

Dia de muErtos.

We are lucky enough to be celebrating our wedding on the same weekend as Dia De Muertos, so the town will be awash with decorations and adornments for Dia De Muertos. Atlixco (‘the city of flowers’) will be in full bloom. Dia De Muertos is a special celebration for those who have passed away and we would like to acknowledge Señor Ricardo González, Mona García, Señor Baudelio García and William ‘Bill’ Channing who will be sorely missed at our wedding but will be joining us in spirit, especially during this special time.
